With two albums, seven years of band history, and over 400 live shows between Europe and Japan under their belts, German-Japanese groove heroes, Pitchtuner, land in Shanghai to rock Lune for one night only.
Pitchtuner links the path between electro and pop, making for a killer mix of live energy. Their unique sound has been described as Basement Jaxx ran through a blender with a Japanime film. Part musician, part inventor genius, Johannes Marx fronts Pitchtuner with a myriad of self-invented instruments.
By his side, Miki Yoshimura brings J-Pop to their musical aesthetic, thumping out bouncing bass lines while belting catchy hooks over a face-melting electro soundscape. Their search for a perfect machine/human combination has led to Pitchtuner dominating dancefloors worldwide, while playing alongside massive acts like Soulwax and LCD Soundsystem. The Ice Cream Truck and Fake Music Media are pumped to present a truly wicked live act: get there early before the place is excessively sweaty.
But don’t just take our word for it. Check out a promo mix of Pitchtuner’s music here: http://soundcloud.com/johannesmarx/official-pitchtuner-label-promo-mix-feb-2010
