This Spring, over 7th + 8th June TICT Creative presented the 6th edition of their Design Art Fashion Fair. After transforming the incredible 6000m2 industrial cement plant at Shanghai’s West Bund venue – along with its outdoor areas and adjacent warehouse space – 12,000 visitors were welcomed for one weekend to play, watch, taste, buy and interact with the many entertaining, artistic and market-place experiences that were brought together by their creative team and collaborators.
The latest developments with DAFF has been a move to position the event into a far more engaging, constructive and collaborative project, involving inspired minds from the local and international creative industries. Since launching their #AllAroundUs campaign, the aim was to open up possibilities to identify, explore and experiment with ideas, which culminated in a unique exhibition at the weekend.
Artistically these new collaborations resulted in the building of installations and works for the event itself and highlights included Lu Yang’s video work and live-in studio, The Orange Blowfish’s live-panting of the DAFF wall and Muyu Yuan’s contemporary dance performances.

当然，所有因为DAFF产生的新合作也为我们两天的活动现场带来了无限的精彩。特别是陆扬的视觉作品和现场工作室、The Orange Blowfish的现场绘画和由Muyu Yuan带来的现代舞蹈表演。
Shanghai is a city of endless possibilities, ideas and an audience ready to be involved as well as challenged. TICT Creative sees this as an unmissable opportunity to, as a team, drive the artistic direction of their work – including their premiere event DAFF – into that of a more engaging experience whether through venue, production and programming or the variety of people involved.
The recent fair was one event that they couldn’t be more proud to present – evident through the resulting viral audience response on Instagram and Weibo. Watch this space, we hear that there are big plans to make it even better for the September issue, and these guys mean business – You won’t want to miss out.
